In Nigeria, cervical cancer is the third most common cancer and the second most frequent cause of cancer deaths among women aged between 15 and 44 years. In 2020 – the latest year for which data is available – 12,000 new cases and 8,000 deaths were recorded.

Getting the HPV vaccine on time will ensure that you and every woman you know, are safe.

    • Hi Lilian, from what we gather, the vaccine is currently free for females between the age of 9 – 14 in all public health facilities across Nigeria. It may be available at a subsidised rate for older women.

      We don’t have that data yet but will let you know once we do. However, you can check out public health facilities in your area.

    • Based on our research, one dose of the vaccine can cost up to N30,000 at private facilities. It may be subsidised at public health facilities though.
