Dr Gloria Patrick–Ferife

Dr Gloria Patrick–Ferife is an Ophthalmologist and a Public Eye health Physician. She is currently the director planning research statistics and immunization at the Delta State primary health care development agency. A 1991 graduate of the University of Benin, Benin – city, has a fellowship of the National Postgraduate medical college and through a grant from the Christoffel Blinden Mission bagged a master of in Public eye health from the Pakistan institute of Community Ophthalmology, University of Peshawar, Pakistan.

She was in active medical practice for almost a decade before venturing into the area of public health. Also runs a part time ophthalmic practice. She is the co – founder of a non-governmental organisation – Eye Care Health Initiative which focuses on bringing eye health to the doorsteps of the community.

As director medical services and training, she oversees the free maternal and under five health care services of the delta state government a social safety net programme. She also supervises health care services both in the private and public health sector.

Gloria Patrick–Ferife is married with three children. A devout Christian of the catholic faith and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, knights of St. John International.
