LAGOS, 15 July 2013 — The Chief Executive Officer, Avon Healthcare Limited, a health management organisation, Mrs. Simbo Ukiri, has said the company is improving the standard of health insurance services in the country.
During a press conference in Lagos on Thursday, Ukiri said the firm would introduce different health insurance products when it officially inaugurated its branch soon.
She said the company aimed to be the preferred choice for health care solutions and would set new standards in the industry by way of real value to clients, enrolled members and providers as well as set new standards in service delivery.
“Avon HMO has adopted a completely different approach. We want our clients, enrolled members and partners to know that we listen, and that we have the right people, skills and technology to meet their healthcare needs at the right price, and in the most responsive and efficient manner,” Ukiri said.
She added that the firm was not only interested in selling health plans, but would give clients and members access to healthcare solutions relevant to their needs, improving quality of life and promoting soundness of mind and body, which would accelerate productivity and enhance wealth creation.
Ukiri said Avon shared the Nigerian Health Insurance Scheme’s passion under the leadership of Dr. Abdulrahman Sambo, for the country to achieve universal health insurance coverage.
While expressing the company’s commitment to working together with all stakeholders to achieve this goal, she said it would add meaningful value to its clients in order to improve Nigeria’s healthcare industry.
The health manager noted that Avon HMO offered health insurance plans, health risk assessment, occupational health management, employee well-being and other services to individuals, families, groups, companies and the government.
