Dr Awele Vivien Elumelu is Chairperson of Avon Healthcare Limited. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of Avon Medical Services Limited and oversees the healthcare investments of Heirs Holdings.

She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Benin. Her experience as a medical doctor includes medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and emergency medicine. In Nigeria, Dr Elumelu has worked with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital and, in the UK, with Grantham and District Hospital, Grantham.

Macauley Atasie is the MD/CEO of NEXTZON Business Services Limited, a business he started together with some of his top management members at HEIRS Alliance between August 2004 and March 2005 to commercialise their activities/skills.In March 2005 NEXTZON started business and Mac has led this business to become well known and respected, with clientele and staff strength growing in rapid pace. The company has clients, project activities and partnerships in Nigeria and across Africa. Mac’s marketing and technical expertise as well as his leadership skills have been brought to bear fully on this entrepreneurial effort.

His career spans over two decades with valuable experience in the Financial Services, Payments, Brewing, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, and Aviation Industries. His prior positions have included: CEO of HEIRS Alliance Limited; Head of Venturing/Payment Systems & Senior Manager, Strategy – Accenture and Assistant Manager at Nigerian Breweries Plc., West Africa’s largest brewing company.

Mr Atasie sits on the board of several companies including Trend TV Ltd. (owners of Communication Trends Ltd. CTL), Paymaster Ltd., International Sport Management Africa (ISMA), Integrated Capital Services Ltd., Moneybox Nigeria Limited, South-West Ikoyi Micro Finance Bank, Avon Healthcare Ltd amongst others. He is the current President of ePPAN (ePayment Providers Association of Nigeria).

Gloria Patrick – Ferife is an Ophthalmologist and a Public Eye health Physician. She is currently the director medical services and training in the Delta State ministry of health. A 1991 graduate of the University of Benin, Benin – city, has a fellowship of the National Postgraduate medical college and through a grant from the Christofoel Blinden Mission bagged a master of in Public eye health from the Pakistan institute of Community Ophthalmology, University of Peshawar, Pakistan.

She was in active medical practice for almost a decade before venturing into the area of public health. Also runs a part time ophthalmic practice. She is the co – founder of a non-governmental organisation – Eye Care Health Initiative which focuses on bringing eye health to the doorsteps of the community.

As director medical services and training, she oversees the free maternal and under five health care services of the delta state government a social safety net programme. She also supervises health care services both in the private and public health sector.

Gloria Patrick – Ferife is married with three children. A devout Christian of the catholic faith and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, knights of St. John International.

Adim Jibunoh is the President/CEO, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc. He was most recently, Business Development Director at Heirs Holdings overseeing the non-banking financial services investments in the group. He is a First Class graduate in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt.

His career in the banking industry spans over two decades. His prior positions have included: Investment Executive at the Nigerian Industrial Development Bank (NIDB – now Bank of Industry); Executive Director at Standard Trust Bank Plc; and the Chief Executive Officer of Continental Trust Bank. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Avon Healthcare Limited and UBA Capital Plc.

Owen Omogiafo is the Director of Resources at Heirs Holdings, where she manages the Resources division, which includes Human resources, Information Technology, Corporate Services and Protocols & Logistics. Owen’s work experience includes Director of Human Resources, Chief of Staff, HR Advisor to the GMD/CEO at UBA and as an Organisation and Human Performance Consultant, specializing in Change Management at Accenture.

She is a certified Change Manager and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, UK. She holds a B.Sc. (double honours) in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Benin and an M.Sc. in Human Resources from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Sam Nwanze is the Chief Investment Officer at Heirs Holdings, and is responsible for the administration and management of the group’s overall financial activities and investment programmes. He has a Masters in Finance and Management from Cranfield School of Management (UK).

Prior to joining Heirs Holdings, Mr Nwanze worked in banking intuitions in various roles that saw him oversee strategy, financial control, performance management, and Treasury as well as play a key role in the STB-UBA merger.

Adesimbo Ukiri is the MD/CEO of Avon Healthcare Limited. As CEO, she oversees all aspects of the company’s operations and, under her guidance and vision, Avon HMO has become one of Nigeria’s leading healthcare maintenance organisations.

A trained lawyer, Adesimbo holds an LLB from Obafemi Awolowo University and is a Sloan Fellow of London Business School, where she obtained an MSc in Management. Adesimbo has over 20 years of professional experience within a number of sectors including financial services, FMCG, telecommunications and healthcare.
