1. Step more
Simply put, we sit too much but this can be changed by switching up just one daily routine: park far from the office, get off the bus one stop earlier and walk, deliver a message in person rather than texting a colleague, take the stairs, etc.
2. Just be – at least for 5 minutes.
Alone time is key and you don’t have to wait till the weekend. Take a few minutes away from social media, work, entertainment, and anyone who demands something from you for at least 5 minutes daily. Your brain will thank you.
3. Cop those Zzzzzzs
Our bodies are most efficient at recovering and healing when we sleep. So do yourself a favour and keep depression and those stress hormones at bay by clocking at least 7 hours of shut-eye.
4. Get a water bottle
Sometimes, you don’t need skincare products, you’re just dehydrated. Water keeps your skin fresh, flushes your bodies of toxins, helps maintain healthy bowel functions (bye bloat, hello flatter belly), and much more.
5. ‘Step on their necks’ (not literally)
For the love of all things good, slay! Feeling confident and happy is an important part of our wellbeing. Make it a point to wear something that makes you feel fantastic every single day.
6. Practice self-care more
You’re not Superman so it’s important to pay attention to your own needs as well. Figuring out what is going to help you feel the most balanced, and the least stressed, is the best way to get on top of your physical and mental health.
7. Be more authentic
Nothing brings more peace of mind and a sense of freedom than knowing you’ve got no skeletons – in your closet. You get a greater sense of personal satisfaction when you are living your best, most honest and authentic life.
